Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Evidence-Based Psychedelic Therapy

If you are suffering from symptoms of depression, anxiety, or trauma that are not diminishing with conventional therapy, Ketamine may help.

Ketamine is the only legal psychedelic in the United States at this time. It is an emerging medication with a proven record for the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addictions.

We work with our medical partners at Journey Clinical to provide a prescription for oral ketamine and prepare for ketamine sessions. You take your ketamine dose (via a pill or lozenge) while we are there the whole time, supporting and guiding you. You can come into the office or we can have a virtual session if you have someone at home with you who can support you. Ketamine sessions last about three hours. After your ketamine sessions, we meet to integrate your experiences and turn those insights into actions and healing.

During your ketamine session, you will be invited to lie down, put on eyeshades, and listen to calming music. This internal experience increases the likelihood of a healing experience.

Experiences with ketamine vary. Most people experience a gentle openness coupled with an outside view of their life and struggles. This temporary separation allows people to work through trauma, depression, anxiety or any other issues that arise. People can also have profound, meaningful, mystical experiences at moderate doses of ketamine.

What Conditions Do Ketamine Treat?

Ketamine-assisted therapy has been used in clinical trials to treat a variety of mental health conditions:

PTSD: Ketamine is emerging as a rapid and effective treatment for PTSD. The first randomized trial of ketamine for PTSD showed promising results, with a rapid reduction in symptoms.

Depression: Ketamine has produced rapid, profound, and surprisingly durable antidepressant effects. In a recent study, 50-75% of patients received relief after a single dose. Higher rates of response and remission were seen with repeated

doses. Additionally, ketamine reduced all symptoms of depression, notably suicidal ideation.

Anxiety: Ketamine works quickly for anxiety, and, over the course of 4-6 treatments continues to reduce levels of stress.

Alcoholism: Ketamine has shown benefits in reducing cravings for alcohol. There is a reduction in heavy/harmful drinking, and abstinence rates are longer.

How it works:
